VISIONS
The Visions tour features 3 of the freshest "bass" artists on the block right now. If it's jacked up moomba, scouse riddims or sleazy r'n'b you're looking for..then look no further...
MELE
Hotly tipped by the likes of Fact Magazine, Mele hasn’t failed to live up to the hype. He’s killed it on every level; dropping huge productions of his own including the heavily supported Mugged EP on Sinden’s Grizzly label, and remixing the likes of Gucci Mane and Contakt, and delivering headline sets at venues up and down the country.
DILLION FRANCIS
With Diplo acting as his biggest fan, 2011 has been a huge year for the Los Angeles Mad Decent producer. Quickly becoming the remix du jour, Dillon has already racked up reinterpretations for Calvin Harris, Chase & Status and CSS. But it’s his blasting solo tunes, especially Westside, that are turning heads and making him one of the biggest new DJs in North America.
BRENMAR
Brenmar represents a strange musical paradox. Somehow defying the odds, he marries the artificial gloss of commercial R’n’B with the ubrban grittiness of underground Styles like Chicago footwork and UK bass. His releases on the Discobelle, Grizzly and Enchufada labels have taken him to both coasts of the U.S., Candada, Japan and the EU. Plus his more ‘unofficial’ online releases have also been gobbled up the taste-making blogs and DJs of the world.

TUESDAY 1ST NOVEMBER
ENTRY £3/£4

(In Spooky Voice)
Its the day after halloween, the streets are empty, the city is a ghost town. The nightclubs have killed off everyone's enjoyment for music with endless versions of Michael Jackson - Thriller. Only one club can revive the music lovers of Glasgow…….KILLER KITSCH.
(Normal Voice)
......or somehing like that
Our name lends itself quite well to most Halloween related stuff (Killer - Blood etc etc) sadly this year we end up being THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN (next year we totally miss it as 2012 is a leap year) But as always we aim to turn a negative into a positive.
For this night we're gonna present things a little differently, with only downstairs in The Buff Club being utilised. If it gets a bit too cosy we'll open The Butterfly & The Pig. And if we get our skates on we might have an extra special suprise for everyone, we'll keep you informed

Killer Kitsch presents Edinburgh Festival Special
August in the capital means one thing - the Edinburgh festival! Which means for that month the city will be absolutely heaving with tourists and locals alike. It also means that the clubs of Edinburgh are all granted 5am licenses! So we figured this was a perfect time to bring some top notch acts to the Cabaret Voltaire.
7TH AUGUST - GRUM
On the 7th of August Graeme Shephard aka Grum will play at Killer Kitsch for the third time. So I guess you could say that we do rate this guy!
Born in Edinburgh and now living in Leeds, Grum rose to fame in 2009 with tracks such as Sound Reaction, Runaway (which featured on Aeroplanes’ Mixmag CD) and Heartbeats. He then followed these singles up with a full length album in 2010 (entitled Heartbeats) which was described by Mixmag as ‘the perfect balance of warm electro-pop and pumping dancefloor propositions.
14TH AUGUST - CLOUDS & BOOM MONK BEN
Clouds are young scots Calum Macleod and Liam Robertson. In early 2010 they released their first EPs on Fake Blood's 'Blood Music' label and Tiga's Turbo Recordings, gaining plays from artists such as 2 Many DJs, Proxy, Boys Noize, Brodinski, Miike Snow, Erol Alkan and other hype-making tasters.
Sharing the bill with Clouds is our good friend and turntable wizard Ben Coghill aka Boom Monk Ben. Armed with Serato, two quick hands and the most diverse crate of dance floor fillers you’ve heard, the Boom Monk has developed a sound and style that is undoubtedly his own.
21ST AUGUST - FRENCH FRIES
Well, as much as we adore our home grown talent, we thought it wouldn’t hurt to book one act that wasn’t from Scotland!
Heralding from Paris, French Fries certainly started young! A resident DJ at La Favela Chic at 14 and a first release at the age of 16. At 18 his ARMA E.P. received worldwide support from the likes of Sinden, Crookers, Brodinski and A-trak before it was even released.
Named breakthrough artist of the year at the 2010 WMC without even crossing the ocean, his track Senta was a big hit and made its way into every artist’s set under the Miami sun.
Essential info.....Entry is £3 all night. Open 11pm - 5am
Paul Chambers Interview
KK - Firstly, you’re the most well-dressed techno artist we know! Do you only feel right busting out some jams in a suit? And how many do you actually own?
Paul - I only own one suit. And I use it only for my live performances, it just feels right to wear it when I play live. But sometimes when I Dj I leave it at home.
KK - 2ManyDjs have been massive supporters of your music and you were one of the main supports on the Soulwaxmas tour recently. How did they discover you and can you describe your relationship with them?
Paul - I was working with them on their movie "Part of the Weekend Never Dies" doing some of my video magic. But after they found out that I was a producer as well, they were very interested in my live set since we share the same love for analog gear. They gave me a slot on their Soulwaxmas tour and it went very well. A while later I gave them "Yeah, Techno!". From there on they became instant fans. But by that time we were already becoming friends and that is really the kind of relationship we have, a friendly one.
KK- You’re live set consists of your own music, edits and remixes but we understand you also DJ too. Tell us how your live set and DJ set varies?
Paul - The live set is with synths and machines which contain the sounds I need to play the tracks live. Anything can happen, and it sounds very different and sometimes brutal. I can adjust the sound to the venue or people. The Dj set is like any other Dj set, I play music which is pre-recorded.
KK - When can we expect some new material from you this year? Can we expect more collaborations (with Shinichi Osawa?) or solo releases?
Paul - There's a lot of stuff on its way. Right now I'm working hard on a release with Shinichi Osawa which should be done soon. And after that I want to release my own stuff which has been waiting to be worked on for too long now.
KK - Judging by your various social networking updates..you spend A LOT of time in the studio. So what do you do outside the studio to keep you sane? (Or is it the studio that keeps you sane?!)
Paul Yes, it seems like I'm living in my studio right now. But this is because Shinichi and I have a deadline for the record. But I don't think anything can keep me sane. I don't want to be sane, that would be boring. But being in the studio for a long time can be a very strange experience because it creates this bubble. It's a comfortable bubble too, but sometimes you have to get out to breathe. And sometimes the bubble doesn't like me too much so I stay away from it for a while.
KK - We couldn’t help but noticing outside of music coffee seems your main vice. So…how do you take yours?
Paul - It's not about how I take it. More about the quality of the beans and how it's made. I can enjoy an espresso or two, maybe a cappuccino and even a filter can be amazing if you just do it right. One of the most important things is that you grind your own beans, and grind them right before you make the coffee. And the temperature has to be right too, it shouldn't be boiling because you will burn your coffee and that really screws things up. One thing I don't use is sugar, it's just something people are used to to cover up the nasty taste of badly brewed coffee. Keep it simple.
KK- Thanks Paul..can’t wait to have you in Glasgow!
Paul I'm looking forward to it!
