KILLER KITSCH PRESENTS
--------------------------------------------
VISIONS FEAT BRENMAR, DILLION FRANCIS & MELE
@ THE BUFF CLUB, GLASGOW
TUESDAY 29TH NOVEMBER
ENTRY £3/£4
11PM - 3AM
---------------------------------------------

VISIONS
The Visions tour features 3 of the freshest "bass" artists on the block right now. If it's jacked up moomba, scouse riddims or sleazy r'n'b you're looking for..then look no further...

MELE
Hotly tipped by the likes of Fact Magazine, Mele hasn’t failed to live up to the hype. He’s killed it on every level; dropping huge productions of his own including the heavily supported Mugged EP on Sinden’s Grizzly label, and remixing the likes of Gucci Mane and Contakt, and delivering headline sets at venues up and down the country.

DILLION FRANCIS
With Diplo acting as his biggest fan, 2011 has been a huge year for the Los Angeles Mad Decent producer. Quickly becoming the remix du jour, Dillon has already racked up reinterpretations for Calvin Harris, Chase & Status and CSS. But it’s his blasting solo tunes, especially Westside, that are turning heads and making him one of the biggest new DJs in North America.

BRENMAR
Brenmar represents a strange musical paradox. Somehow defying the odds, he marries the artificial gloss of commercial R’n’B with the ubrban grittiness of underground Styles like Chicago footwork and UK bass. His releases on the Discobelle, Grizzly and Enchufada labels have taken him to both coasts of the U.S., Candada, Japan and the EU. Plus his more ‘unofficial’ online releases have also been gobbled up the taste-making blogs and DJs of the world.

KILLER KITSCH PRESENTS
THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN OST
DOWNSTAIRS
@ THE BUFF CLUB, GLASGOW
TUESDAY 1ST NOVEMBER
ENTRY £3/£4
FREE TICKETS AVAILABLE FROM PR STAFF
11PM-3AM

(In Spooky Voice)
Its the day after halloween, the streets are empty, the city is a ghost town. The nightclubs have killed off everyone's enjoyment for music with endless versions of Michael Jackson - Thriller. Only one club can revive the music lovers of Glasgow…….KILLER KITSCH.

(Normal Voice)

......or somehing like that

Our name lends itself quite well to most Halloween related stuff (Killer - Blood etc etc) sadly this year we end up being THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN (next year we totally miss it as 2012 is a leap year) But as always we aim to turn a negative into a positive.

For this night we're gonna present things a little differently, with only downstairs in The Buff Club being utilised. If it gets a bit too cosy we'll open The Butterfly & The Pig. And if we get our skates on we might have an extra special suprise for everyone, we'll keep you informed

Killer Kitsch presents Edinburgh Festival Special

August in the capital means one thing - the Edinburgh festival! Which means for that month the city will be absolutely heaving with tourists and locals alike. It also means that the clubs of Edinburgh are all granted 5am licenses! So we figured this was a perfect time to bring some top notch acts to the Cabaret Voltaire.

7TH AUGUST - GRUM

On the 7th of August Graeme Shephard aka Grum will play at Killer Kitsch for the third time. So I guess you could say that we do rate this guy!

Born in Edinburgh and now living in Leeds, Grum rose to fame in 2009 with tracks such as Sound Reaction, Runaway (which featured on Aeroplanes’ Mixmag CD) and Heartbeats. He then followed these singles up with a full length album in 2010 (entitled Heartbeats) which was described by Mixmag as ‘the perfect balance of warm electro-pop and pumping dancefloor propositions.

14TH AUGUST - CLOUDS & BOOM MONK BEN

Clouds are young scots Calum Macleod and Liam Robertson. In early 2010 they released their first EPs on Fake Blood's 'Blood Music' label and Tiga's Turbo Recordings, gaining plays from artists such as 2 Many DJs, Proxy, Boys Noize, Brodinski, Miike Snow, Erol Alkan and other hype-making tasters.

Sharing the bill with Clouds is our good friend and turntable wizard Ben Coghill aka Boom Monk Ben. Armed with Serato, two quick hands and the most diverse crate of dance floor fillers you’ve heard, the Boom Monk has developed a sound and style that is undoubtedly his own.

21ST AUGUST - FRENCH FRIES

Well, as much as we adore our home grown talent, we thought it wouldn’t hurt to book one act that wasn’t from Scotland!

Heralding from Paris, French Fries certainly started young! A resident DJ at La Favela Chic at 14 and a first release at the age of 16. At 18 his ARMA E.P. received worldwide support from the likes of Sinden, Crookers, Brodinski and A-trak before it was even released.

Named breakthrough artist of the year at the 2010 WMC without even crossing the ocean, his track Senta was a big hit and made its way into every artist’s set under the Miami sun.

Essential info.....Entry is £3 all night. Open 11pm - 5am

Maybe we did, maybe we didn't say, but we were meant to be talking some time off from guests for the summer. But we couldn't pass up on the opportunity to have BRENMAR in Glasgow, he's been a firm favorite on the Killer Kitsch stereo for the past month or so with his podcasts for XLR8 & THE FADER.

Brenmar XLR8 Podcast

Brenmar - Gold Bricks Fader Mix

Having built a name on the back bootleg remixes of RIHANNA, DJ DEEON, CASSIE & AALIYAH, he graduated from them onto dropping his first EP on DISCOBELLE RECORDS at the turn of the year. His DJ sets run through R'n'B, Hip Hop to UK Funky, striking a balance between accessibility and fun, whilst also pushing new sounds.

KILLER KITSCH & JAKE BEATS PRESENT - BART B MORE & HEY TODAY

: : : : : S O U N D : : : : : End of Exams Special! : : : : :
--------------------------
Terminal 1 - Killer Kitsch presents BART B MORE

(With support from Killer Kitsch)
---------------------------------------------
Terminal 2 - Jakebeats with HEY TODAY!

(With support from Homebass DJs and Crocky DaMan)
---------------------------------------------
£8 advance / More on the door

Tickets available from Tickets Scotland as of Monday 16th May and from Club 520 PR staff
---------------------------------------------

For an end of exams and start of summer blowout we’re teaming up with some of our favourite local party-starters to throw a fuck off dance party with some massive guests.

In Terminal 1 Killer Kitsch present Dutch powerhouse BART B MORE.

He took urban slang “brap” and moulded it from the scene kid call-to-arms into the gurning brother of Proxy’s “Raven”. Boys Noize liked the track so much he signed it up to his record label. Yeah, that big. Or you might be familar with the BIG DRUMS of “Listen to this”, or his big bass (less pop!) remix of Ce Lo Green’s “Fuck You”, or even heard him turn a saxophone into a rave siren on his take on Drop the Lime’s “Sex Sax”

Ignore the scene kids, come down and let Bart show you the true meaning of BRAP!

In Terminal 2 Jakebeats present Turbo Recordings artist HEY TODAY!

We sit up and take notice when we hear someone gets signed to Tiga’s label or share a Studio with Digitalism. Hey Today! are that someone.

They rejuvenated Tiga’s “You Gonna Want Me” track last year with their dutcher-than-someone-dutch-making-dutch-house remix of it and in the process reached the Beatport Top 5.
Chart positions aside, Erol Alkan, Busy P and Soulwax are fans, so we think we are in good company here.

So, rather than enticing you with a dodgy pun like “HEY…you should come see these guys TODAY”…just come see them right?

You will have the pleasure of seeing both acts on the night and we can't wait to host the biggest Friday night at 520 yet.

PEO DE PITTE

@ THE BUFF CLUB, GLASGOW

Peo de Pitte is definitely a name to watch” – Fake Blood

Our next (and possibly) last guest til after summer will be Swedish dj/producer/label owner PEO DE PITTE!

In recent times he has been busy touring Australia and playing famous clubs & festivals like Fabric,Global Gathering and recording exclusive mixes for Annie Nightingale on Radio 1 and Kiss FM.

His mashup of Sidney Samson’s “Riverside” / “Renegade Master" has notched 75,000 downloads to this day and Afrojack, Laidback Luke & Crookers count themselves as fans.

Judging by his recent track “Berlusconi” we’re sure he’ll be up for a party too. But maybe not the kind of party you (or our favourite Italian Prime Minister) are thinking about…!
