CD 3 (or Buffed in/Buffed Out) was the most expansive and ambitious CD we have made. At least musicically, Although the packaging could hardly be called simple. The CD came in two parts, One (Buffed In) represented the more 'clubby' side to the night, while we tried something a bit different on the other CD (Buffed Out), mixing in more mellow and obscure stuff. The CD was given away in 2 stages as well. If i recall correctly we gave away 'Buffed Out' during freshers week, and we gave away 'Buffed In' nearer christmas time. Musically 'Buffed In' was our attempt at doin a 2 many dj's style album, with the songs not playing for very long, layering songs over other songs. It was done over the course 6 months, in very small stages. We had the first half done fairly quickly, a lot of it coming from just jamming on laptops. The rest was done bit by bit, slowly but surely.' Buffed Out' was actually really easy to make, and a lot more democratic. We each chose 7 songs each, one by one and fitted them in. The mix is much less busy to give the songs more room to breath and isn't always at a 'dance' tempo, this is something we would take onto the next cd, where we started to be use the tempo's of songs more effectively.
